This diet only emphasizes on eating detoxifying foods with negative calories. However, it has always been under the scanners for its strict eating rules which severely restricts the intake of whole grains, dairy and seafood-- all of which contain essential nutrients.

For the first day, you can eat all kinds of fruits except bananas. There is no maximum or minimum amount prescribed for fruits. Consumption of melons is advisable because of its high water content.
You should also drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day.
Day 2
Eat only boiled and/or raw vegetables on the second day of your diet. Make sure that you have a variety of vegetables in good quantities.
Day 3
Have as much as fruits and vegetables on the third day of your diet. Make it a point have at least 8-10 glasses of water daily.
Day 4
Day 4 is all about bananas and milk. You can have 6 to 8 large bananas and 3-4 glasses of skimmed milk throughout the day. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water throughout the day.
Day 5
Include tomatoes, sprouts, brown rice and curd in your diet on the 5th day. You can also eat cottage cheese (paneer) as per your taste.
Day 6
One needs to eat lots of vegetables on day 6 to get a good amount of fibre. You can also include vegetable soups for some variation.
Day 7
You need to include a good amount of starch on the last day of your diet to reintroduce starch in your daily meal plan. You can choose anything from brown rice, wheat chapati and sprouts. Make it a point to have a sufficient amount of water as well.
Fruits and vegetables you should avoid during GM diet:
If you are on a quest to lose weight by following GM diet, strictly avoid peas, corns, litchi, mangoes and grapes.
A word of caution:
Do remember that even after following this diet strictly for 7 days, you will gain back the lost weight as soon as you get back to your normal diet.
